Components of Computer
There are many different components that make up a computer, and each one performs a specific function. The four main components are the processor, memory, storage, and input/output devices.
The motherboard is the circuit board through which all of your computer’s different components communicate. It also houses plugs for input devices and output ones, so you can connect anything from printers to screens with this one central location!
Central Processing Unit (CPU)
The processor is the central processing unit (CPU) of the computer and is responsible for carrying out instructions from programs. It consists of two parts: the control unit and the arithmetic logic unit (ALU). The control unit fetches instructions from memory and decodes them before sending them to the ALU. The ALU then carries out operations on data according to the instructions.
Random Access Memory (RAM)
Memory is where information is stored temporarily while it is being accessed by the CPU. There are two types of memory: primary storage and secondary storage. Primary storage, or main memory, is made up of random access memory (RAM) chips and is where the operating system and program instructions are stored.
Secondary storage, or mass storage, consists of devices such as hard drives and solid-state drives (SSDs) that store data permanently.
Through input devices like keyboards and joysticks, we can issue commands to our computers in the form of numbers or letters. These inputs are processed by a processor which converts them into computer language, after which output is generated that’s understandable for us humans – usually through programming!

Examples of input devices include keyboards, mice, scanners, digital cameras, and microphones. Output devices include monitors, printers, speakers, and Braille displays.

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
The graphics card is another vital component of the computer. It helps generate high-end visuals like those in video games, 3D models, and other programs that require heavy processing power from computers with little available memory space or RAM to conduct their work on screen effectively without dropping frames periodically during playbacks due to either excessive load times when there are many objects being drawn at once–or both!
